Principal
Braulio Grajales has extensive experience in civil engineering design, permitting and site construction administration for all types of development projects including retail/shopping centers, stand-alone restaurants, office parks, medical clinics, hotels, educational and industrial facilities. He is known for providing his full attention to clients and delivering first-class solutions that exceed client expectations. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, New York, and Puerto Rico with specialized training in civil and geotechnical engineering. Prior to founding High Point Engineering in 2007, he had a distinguished tenure with a multidisciplinary consulting firm serving public and private sector clients internationally.
Javad "Jay" Hashemian, P.E.
Senior Civil / Drainage Engineer
Jay Hashemian has extensive experience in civil engineering design, and is considered an expert in drainage design for limited access highways, local roadways, and commercial, residential and industrial development projects. He has provided services to many clients including private developers, cities, counties, state and federal agencies. He graduated from University of Kentucky and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida. As a Senior Civil / Drainage Engineer for High Point Engineering, Mr. Hashemian provides a wide range of design experience for land development, utility infrastructure, stormwater and transportation projects as well as permitting and construction administration. Prior to joining High Point Engineering, Mr. Hashemian spent twelve years with an international multi-discipline architectural, engineering design and consulting firm in Florida.
Ernesto Diaz
Project Engineer
Ernesto Diaz has broad experience in civil engineering design of land development projects ranging from commercial to industrial as well as telecommunication projects. As a Project Engineer for High Point Engineering, Mr. Diaz provides extensive experience in civil engineering design and site construction administration for multiple drive through restaurant projects all over the State of Florida. Prior to joining High Point Engineering, Mr. Diaz worked ten years with an international telecommunications company as a Project Manager in Colombia, South America.
Karen Profet
Project Engineer
Karen Profet has ample experience in several phases of civil engineering design developments, ranging from public infrastructure to institutional and industrial development projects. As a Project Engineer for High Point Engineering, Ms. Profet provides civil engineering design for multifamily and commercial projects. Prior to joining High Point Engineering, Ms. Profet worked five years for a multi-discipline engineering design company in Cuba.
Pedro Guerra
Project Engineer
Pedro Guerra has valuable experience in civil engineering design of land development projects ranging from commercial to multifamily residential projects in Florida. As a Project Engineer for High Point Engineering, Mr. Guerra excels as a team player providing efficiency and detail-oriented designs. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Oriente - Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. Prior to joining High Point Engineering, He worked four years for a multi-discipline engineering design company in Cuba and 3 years in a local company leader in precast prestressed concrete building systems. Mr. Guerra enjoys watching sports, cooking, long walks on beach with his wife and spending quality time with his family.
Orinta M. Delain
Office Manager
Orinta has extensive experience in customer service, office administration, as well as developing and managing client’s relations. Close to ten years of working in the reprographics industry was an important part of her career molding her ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds. Moreover, working closely with construction companies, Orinta learned construction progression needs and the effectiveness of providing documents in a timely manner. Ms. Delain holds an associate’s degree in Violin from Klaipeda University in Lithuania. This degree provided her with strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills for fast-paced, dynamic, changing environments, as well as her ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
